Corridor8 works in partnership with arts organisations and education institutions to deliver residency and commissioning programmes, meeting a demand for critical and creative writing and supporting writers to sustain and develop their practice. Since 2016 our partners have included a wide range of arts organisations and institutions accross the North of England (see below). We are currently working with the University of Leeds, Liverpool John Moores University, Henry Moore Institute (Leeds) and The Art House Wakefield on a number of collaborative projects, with publications scheduled in 2021 and 2022.
For each partnership, event programmes and content are evolved through conversations with curators, artists, writers, editors and designers. Duration of residencies and publication formats vary, depending on each project’s themes and the nature of the collaboration.
All residency and commissioning programmes have been supported by Arts Council England and partner organisations, sometimes with additional contributions from local council and private funders. We have a longstanding relationship with our designers at dust collective and Sam Baldwin and Piper Haywood, who are experts at producing collaborative print and online publications.
